Hwiso is a space where the host reborn the house his father built 15 years ago. As suggested by its name, Hwiso is a space designed to receive light from anywhere inside or outside. Moreover, by orienting the buildings so that they face each other, a new gaze was created, away from the general gaze of looking outside. In this way, the host proposes a journey to discover "magnetism" (a nature that is naturally equipped) through "self-cultivation."
Throughout the space, there are objects and props that were created by collaborating artists. It is also enjoyable to observe these works in harmony with each other in Hwiso. After a moment of contemplation and staying in the Hwiso, you will be able to rest and find inspiration. We would like to invite you to enjoy every space and element that the host's taste has infused into Hwiso and to contemplate and be inspired by it.
There is a tea table in the main area to fully focus on yourself. We believe this will be an opportunity to be more intimate with your inner self. The served tea is branded by the host, who is native to Jeju Island, reminiscent of the spring and winter of Jeju. Savor them slowly and enjoy the seasons of Jeju.
As you open. the folding door, the boundary of indoor and outdoor becomes vague. When the wind rustles through the dense bamboo trees, you will realize the time is passing slowly. Take a warm bath while drinking the cold served by the host and having a relaxing time.
Water can be seen throughout the garden, which symbolizes the source of life. The sound of waterfall pouring down silences the surrounding ambient noise, and calmly filled water soothes both the mind and body. Admire the water embracing the sunlight at day and water reflecting the moonlight at night.
