OrigInn Space is located in the "Dadaocheng" area, the earliest center of Taipei's economic and cultural development, with a rich collection of historical buildings where old and new cultures coexist harmoniously, developing a lifestyle different from other areas of Taipei. The site was originally the residence of a high-ranking Qing Dynasty official and was built and once belonged by the Lin family of Banqiao, one of Taiwan's five major families. It was later registered as a municipal historic building by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taipei City Government in 2008. The architecture, which features a Western-style brick construction, is beautifully decorated and holds significant value in the history of architecture.

Key Features
Registered Historical Building
It was an imperial envoy’s house in Qing dynasty, and then reconstructed to a brick, westernized building in 1931 by the Banqiao Lin family. Now it is declared by Taipei City Government as Cultural Heritage, and the interior design was exquisite and of great value for architecture history.
Multi-Space
It is a space open to the public. It is a café full of music. It is also an exhibition room for well-selected handicrafts. Together, all these artifacts shape a distinctive and elegant taste in here. We also hold activities for all kinds of topics here, make it a place for people to mingle and connect.
Neighborhood: DaDaoCheng
The neighborhood we located is Taipei’s earliest economy and culture hub, this is where preserves the most authentic memory of old Taipei. Now in Dihua St. the old and new live side by side in harmony, giving DaDaoCheng an unique and charming atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Taipei.

From Taipei Metro station
Get off at Beimen station (Green Line.) Take Exit 3 and then walk Tacheng St. toward the direction of Dihua St. After the third traffic light (and about 6-minute walk), you’ll see OrigInn on your left.
