Keep a Record of Your Own Experience During the Trip
In Jungang-dong, Jung-gu, Busan, there is a unique hotel that commemorates a bygone era. The hotel is called Goodoldays Hotel. Goodoldays derives from the term "Good Old Days," which refers to the appearance of Jungang-dong, which was once the busiest street in Busan. Space provides an experience that elicits memories of Jungang-dong. Alongside the reception, the host photographed and made cards with the stories of the old shops that had been in Jungang-dong for 30 to 40 years. Those who stay can create their own old map by collecting those cards, or they may receive a map of Jungang-dong created by the host. A comprehensive tour of Busan is possible with the experience of visiting local-recommended attractions in Jungang-dong. The host created the Goodoldays Hotel as a result of this organic experience in the hope that the trip would remain an unforgettable memory.

The Goodoldays Hotel is a five-story structure. On the first and second floors, there are cafes and receptions. Behind the reception, on the green wall, is a wood-toned mailbox, symbolizing the epoch and importance of the records pursued by the Goodoldays Hotel. The hotel's rooms are located on the third, fourth, and fifth floors and are divided into three categories: Room 01, Room 02, and Room 03, respectively. In each room, you can feel the harmony of green and wood, as well as a sense of stability provided by the lights that softly illuminate the space. Rooms 01 and 03 each have a bedroom, a bathroom, and a shower room with a bathtub. Inside, a large window conveys an air of openness. The bedroom is furnished with desks and a drawer stocked with stationery such as black wing pencils and writing equipment from Taiwan's Ystudio, making it ideal for documenting the present. At the foot of the bed, there are record players and vinyl records prepared by the host, which adds to the opulence of the stay. In collaboration with a local workshop, a bath bomb was created for bathing. Room 02 is compact and minimalist, with a single shower room, bathroom, and bedroom. Through the large window, you can see the days and nights of Busan. On the rooftop, you can see Jungang-Garosu-gil, dong's Busan Tower, and Busan Port Tower.

All of the content available at the Goodoldays Hotel is time and record-based. To demonstrate this value to guests, the welcome gift includes stamps and postcards. Today's feelings should be written down and it can be sent to the distant future if you hand it over to the reception. Postcards serve as a reminder of the value of long-lasting records. The host expresses hope that he will be able to recall this moment in the future by leaving it in writing. Why don't you visit the Goodoldays Hotel, a place where you can document your journey?
