VOIR VIEN, Gazing at Biyangdo Island
Across the Jeju Hyeopjae Beach, which is beloved for its emerald sea color, there is a natural monument, Biyangdo Island. This entirely small but beautiful island of Oreum has spotless ocean views, well known for its fertile fishing spot, and has less than 200 residents. Here is the perfect place where you can closely observe the island, the newly opened rental house, Voir Vien. Voir Vien is a French word meaning ‘gaze at’ Biyangdo, and reminds people of its scenery around the house.

Voir Vien is a single house for one group of guests with two bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen, and a private bathroom in each room. You can see Biyangdo at a glance through a wide window, especially inside the room across the sea with an open bath, where you can enjoy your romantic time. There is a garden with fresh trees and flowers, and tables and chairs are prepared on the deck for you to relax while gazing at the sea. The old house has turned into a new clean space with thoughtful touches on furniture, small design items, and amenities.

The former stylist host's delicate touch is found all over the house. Artworks by both Korean and international artists like Renaud Delorme, Serge Hamad, Thomas Eigel, and Kwon Young-ho are hung on the wall, and they together create a much more stylish atmosphere of the space. Reservations for Voir Vien are limited to adults. For those who want a peaceful and relaxing trip, rather than a crowded vacation, Voir Vien stay across Biyangdo Island is highly recommended. You will enjoy the full Jeju sky and ocean from sunrise until sunset.
